(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Alfred “Jim” Mitchell III, age 67 of Joplin, Missouri passed away at his home Sunday July 25, 2021.
Jim was born July 3, 1954, in Mobile, Alabama to Alfred and Betty (Geske) Mitchell.
He worked for Atlas, ICI and most recently Howell in the safety and environmental division.
Jim married Georgia Mahurin on July 30, 1986, and she survives. He is also survived by two sons, Josh Mitchell and TC Mitchell and wife April, one brother Scott Mitchell, six grandchildren, Willow, Caleigh, Braden, Justus, Sarah, Izabel, and one great grandchild Xavier.
He was preceded in death by a daughter Mickolee and his parents.
A memorial visitation will be held 10:00 am Saturday July 31, 2021, at Mason-Woodard Mortuary Joplin, Missouri.
