(From Clark Funeral Home)Krista Joy Cherry, 42, Granby, was called home on July 27, 2021, in Springfield, Mo. She was born May 31, 1979, in Joplin, Mo, daughter of Jim Nance and Dena (Lewis) Nance.
Krista was a lifelong area resident. She worked as a teacher homeschooling, and was a song leader at church; she enjoyed sport cars, going to the lake, going to the movies, church, and most of all spending time with her husband and boys. She was a member of Granby Miracle Church.
Krista married Kevin Cherry, August 31, 2002, in Neosho Mo, and he survives of the home.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her parents; Jim and Dena Nance of Granby, Missouri; children; Austin Cherry and Aaron Cherry of the home; maternal grandmother; Wynonna Lewis of Granby, Missouri; paternal grandmother; Peggy Nance of Granby, Missouri; in laws; BJ and Glenda Cherry of Neosho, Missouri; numerous other family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her grandpas Denzil Lewis and Jerry Nance.
Services will be held Tuesday, August 3, 2021, 10:00am, Clark Chapel of Memories Granby, Mo. Interment will follow at Hazel Green Cemetery Boulder City, Mo. A visitation will be held Monday, August 2, 2021, 5-7pm, Clark Chapel of Memories Granby, Mo.
