Noma Darrow

Noma L. Darrow (Eppright ) age 79, formerly of Oronogo, passed away Tuesday, July 20th, 2021 at Freeman Hospital West .

Noma was born on April 2, 1942 at the home of her late parents Walter and Alma (Moore) Eppright. She graduated from Alba High School in 1960, she then married Lawrence I. Darrow on August 5, in Miami, OK. They had celebrated over 60 years together. From this union was born Penny, Lawrence, Thersa, and Kirk.








Noma spent twenty two years as Cafeteria Manager at the Eugene Field Elementary School in Pittsburg, Kansas USD#250. Noma was very well known throughout the communities of Pittsburg and Oronogo as a very gracious and caring person, but what brought joy to her heart was spending time with her loving family especially her grand babies. She will be lovingly missed by all who knew her.

Along with her loving husband she is survived by her children; Penny (Mike) Howard of Carl Junction, Lawrence (Lorri) Darrow of Springfield, Kirk (Stacey) Darrow of Pittsburg; grandchildren, Molly, Megan, Ira, Trent, Brett, Kolton, and Madison; great grandchildren, Roman, Kaizer, Harper, Kreed, and Lukka; sisters Shirley (Dale) DePriest of Ok and Betty Smith of Asbury. With her parents, Noma is preceded in death by her daughter, Thersa Kavanagh; sisters, Florence Ragsdale, Opal Etchison, Evelyn White and brother, Pete Eppright.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 25, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Mason Woodard Mortuary, 3701 E. 7th St. Joplin, MO. Graveside Services will be held Monday, July 26, 2021 at 10:00 am at Weaver Cemetery, 14024 County Lane 250, Oronogo, MO.
