Clara Burley

Clara Mae Burley, age 68, of Seymour, Missouri passed away Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.

She was born March 10, 1953 in Cassville, Missouri the daughter of Ralph Edwin and Emma Jean (Adams) Wormington, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Jack and Glen and one son, Russell Smith.









Surviving are one son, Joe Smith and his wife Lisa of Granby, Missouri; two brothers, Gene Wormington of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Ralph Wormington and his wife Jo Ann of Seymour, Missouri; two sisters, Carol Norris of Independence, Missouri and Nancy Rancatore and her husband Greg of La Port, Indiana; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Clara received her education in Buffalo, Missouri graduating from Buffalo High School in 1971. After graduating she moved to Butterfield, Missouri and was employed by Tyson Foods Incorporated in Monett, Missouri for nine years and later worked as a nurse’s aide for several years. Some of her favorite pastimes were sewing, drawing cartoons, being outdoors and going fishing. She was a member of the Seymour Life Church in Seymour, Missouri.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Horner Cemetery in Cassville, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.

Contributions may be made to American Cancer Society in memory of Clara.
