(From Clark Funeral Home)Cleva Maxine Moore, 76, Diamond, Missouri, entered into rest on July 16, 2021 in Joplin, following a short illness. Cleva was born Nov. 1, 1944 in Diamond, Missouri, the daughter of Wm Cleveland and Millie I. (Harris) Smith. She was a lifelong area resident and a graduate of Diamond High School.
She furthered her education obtaining a bachelor’s degree from MSU in Joplin. Cleva was a licensed insurance agent, holding several licenses and had worked at Beimdiek Insurance, Hartley Insurance and the Insurance Center where she retired in 2008.
She and her husband, Robert ‘Bob’, owned and operated B-C Rodeo Company for seventeen years and she currently worked as a para at the Diamond School District Special Education Department.
Her family was her greatest joy and she enjoyed watching the birds in her yard. She was an active member of the Diamond First Baptist Church and enjoyed going on mission trips, working with the Horse Whisperer Program; cooking beans for the event and was a certified chaplain for the Missouri Baptist Convention Disaster Relief.
Cleva and Robert ‘Bob’ Ross Moore were married on June 8, 1962 in Diamond and he preceded her in death on July 6, 2017.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathy (Daniel) Hamric of Diamond and Karen (Scott) Fink of Wyandotte, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Whitson and Martella Watts.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at 10 am at the Diamond First Baptist Church.
Interment will follow in the Diamond Cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be Justin Crosswhite, Matt Davidson, David Johnson, Brian Creevan, Bryan Nelson and Brett Whitson and honorary pallbearers will be Bill Whitson, James Frazier, Wayne Moss, Butch Frazier, Monty Greenwood and Mike Moss.
