(From Daniel Funeral Home)Robin Theresa Nelson, wife, mother, daughter and sister passed away on July 3, 2021 at the age of 59.
Robin was the second child born to Alan and Mary Helen Mayr on August 30, 1961 in Corning, California, where she spent her childhood days on her grandparents farm.
After graduating from Chico High School, Robin went to college where she met her husband Kennard Nelson. The two were married on July 17, 1983 and shared 38 wonderful years together. Robin and Ken moved to Golden City, Missouri in February of 2000 with their four daughters; Johanna, Genevieve, Hallie and Jasper.
Robin worked for Barton County Ambulance for 11 years as an EMT. She loved serving the residents of Barton County and Golden City. She served on the city council and was "Woman of the Year" for Golden City. At the time of her death, Robin worked for At Home Independence.
Robin was a natural gardener, she loved plants, working in the garden and being outdoors. She shared her love of the outdoors with her children through camping and fishing. Robin was a talented artist, she taught art, home schooled her children, and shared her artwork with many in the community through community improvement projects and murals. Robin was a member of Grace Pentecostal Church in Golden City. She served the Lord in everything she did and loved teaching Sunday School, going on mission trips and sharing her love of Jesus with all around her.
Robin will be greatly missed by her husband Kennard, her four daughters; Johanna, Genevieve (husband Tim), Hallie and Jasper, grandchildren; Micah and Abigail, siblings; Duffy (wife Merci), Rhonda (husband Greg), John and Kimlyn (husband Bill) and countless other family members, neighbors and friends.
