Marion Knight

Marion Jo Knight, age 78, of Granby, MO passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at Sarcoxie Nursing Center in Sarcoxie, MO. She was born in Pierce City, MO on Saturday, September 9, 1944; daughter of Joe and Millie (Stark) Young. She attended Pierce City High School. 

She married Larry Hawkins on February 9, 1960, who was the caring father of their children. Later, she married Gordon Knight and he preceded her death also. 

Mrs. Knight liked to embroider and enjoyed reading mystery novels. She enjoyed her time at home.

Surviving are the following: two sons, Steve (Vickie) Hawkins and John Hawkins of Wentworth, MO; one daughter, Diana (Lloyd) Haneline, of Granby, MO; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Glen Young of Monett, MO; and many other family members and friends.

Mrs. Knight was welcomed in heaven by her parents, Joe and Millie Young; her husbands, Larry Hawkins and Gordon Knight; and eleven siblings, Jay Presley, Don Young, Leroy Young, Carl Young, Jimmy Young, Ida Mae Hilker, Norma Jean Dacy, Carolyn Sue Hawkins, Doris Kay Dacy, Barbara Reno, and Nancy Jane Young.

The family will receive friends at Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO on Saturday, December 10, 2022, from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM.

Services will be at Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO on Saturday, December 10, 2022, beginning at 1:00 PM with Pastor Scott Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow at Pierce City Cemetery in Pierce City, MO. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO.
