(From Buchanan Funeral Home)Gerald Davis Fagan (Dave), 76, of Rogers, Arkansas died at 10:50 p.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2022.
Dave was born on September 29, 1946, in Monett, Mo, the son of Ray and Dimple Davis Fagan. He graduated in 1964 from Monett High School and attended Crowder College. He married his wife, Linda Cook, on January 21, 1967.
He started his career in financial business and then moved back to the SW Missouri area in 1970 where he started working for Friend Tire in Monett, Mo for the next 9 years. In 1979 thru 2008, he began developing, designing, and setting up operations of more than 38 convenience stores, car washes and truck stops in SW Missouri, NW Arkansas, NE Oklahoma and the Kansas City area.
Throughout his career, he had many proud moments. He opened the very first self-service diesel station and the very first scanning system in a convenience store in the Midwest. He was also an insurance broker and surplus lines broker and developed the insurance forms and underwriting of group programs for car washes and convenience stores.
He received accommodation letters from the Red Cross, President George H. W. Bush and General Liede for his “Something special for someone special program” during the Gulf War in which military families received half price gasoline at the locations he owned. In 2008, he retired to NW Arkansas to enjoy his family, golfing, gambling, the Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals.
He is survived by his wife, Linda and their two children, Jennifer Fagan of Rogers, Arkansas and Jerald Ray Fagan (Jerry) of Neosho, Mo; and grandson, Jayden Davis Fagan of Neosho, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Dimple Fagan.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Buchanan Funeral Home with Pastor James Schnackenberg officiating. Visitation will begin prior to the service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow the services at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Monett.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions have been suggested to Monett Community Outreach in care of the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, MO.
