Marjorie Crim

Marjorie A. Crim, age 92, of Joplin, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin.

Marjorie, daughter of the late Howard and Laura (Petersen) Pratt, was born on September 21, 1930, in Berwyn, IL. She married William Stein in 1949 in Chicago, IL. 

Marjorie took great pride in raising her children for many years until the death of her first husband, William, in 1984. She then spent several years with the St. John’s Ladies Auxiliary managing the St. John’s Gift Shop and then later was a previous owner of Second Act Two, a local resale shop.






 

She later married Richard Crim on November 13, 1992, in Miami, OK. She was a sociable lady, and she loved her family more than anything else. In her free time, she enjoyed shopping, playing bridge and being part of many bridge clubs, and was also involved with the Joplin Lady Elks Auxiliary helping with the yearly Christmas Basket Project.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Crim, of Joplin; one son, Harvey Stein, and his wife, Sharol, of Joplin; two stepchildren, Barbara Swanson, and her husband, Brett, of Lenexa, KS, and Robert Crim, of Branson; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and first husband, Marjorie was preceded in death by one brother, Dennis Pratt; two children, Robert A. Stein, and Cynthia Shep; and one stepson, Nicholas Crim.








Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Osborne Memorial Cemetery in Joplin. Friends and family are welcome by the funeral home for viewing and written condolences during normal operational hours beginning Friday, December 30th.

Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin.
