(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Peggy Spooner-Cochran, passed on December 14th, 2022, at age 90.
Peggy is survived by one daughter, Cathy and husband Tim of O'Fallon, MO.; one son, Terry and wife Nancy of Peoria, IL.; one granddaughter, Ashley Zarco, and two great-grandchildren, Alice, and Kien. Peggy also has two brothers, John and wife Bev Greenwood, Don and wife Glenda Greenwood; and one sister, Judy Muhr and husband Larry.
Peggy was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Tudenham; one brother, Van Greenwood; and one granddaughter, Stacy.
Peggy was very busy in life. She was a great mom, grandmother and a hard worker. She worked for Mo Dot for many years. She enjoyed arts & crafts, running a ceramics shop for several years, tole painting with many of her paintings sold at War Eagle and Prairie Grove in Arkansas. She did volunteer work at Mercy Hospital (then St. John’s) for several years.
Peggy was a survivor of breast cancer. She had many friends, like the Thursday girls, who had lunch together twice a month. She was a great travel companion with many friends and family.
Contributions may be made to the Cancer Center of the Ozarks, 620 W. Republic Rd. Ste 107 Springfield, MO. 65807, in care of the mortuary.
Funeral services have been scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 19, 2022 at the Mason-Woodard Chapel. Burial will follow at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends during a time of visitation prior to the start of the service at the funeral home beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Monday.
