(From McQueen Funeral Home)Jerry Lee Cox, age 76, of Fairview, Missouri passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022 at his home.
He was born October 13, 1946 in Springfield, Missouri the son of Wallen and Beulah (Hood) Cox.
On April 5, 1976 in Miami, Oklahoma he was united in marriage to Marilyn Ray, who survives.
Also surviving are one son, Chris Cox of Angleton, Texas; one daughter, Tessie Cox of Fairview, Missouri; one sister, Mary Ellen Easley of Lowell, Arkansas; one sister-in-law, Leatrice Cox of Cassville, Missouri and five grandchildren, Austin, Hunter, Lane, Kayley and Makenzie.
Preceding him in death were his parents; one son, Tony Cox; two brothers, Bill Cox and Jim Cox; one brother-in-law, Ted Easley and one sister-in-law, Jean Cox.
Jerry grew up and attended school in Exeter, Missouri graduating from Exeter High School. He joined the United States Army where he served during the Vietnam War. Jerry raised beef cattle, was a dairy farmer and drove a truck hauling cattle. He enjoyed his farm work, fishing and just being outside but most of all he loved his family.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 2, 2023 at McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton. Pastor Paul Wahlert will conduct the services. Burial with military honors will be at Rocky Comfort Cemetery in Rocky Comfort, Missouri.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until service time Monday at McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton.
Contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Jerry.
