Earl Robinson

Earl Byron Robinson, 84, passed away on Friday, December 22, 2022 at his home in Nevada, MO. Earl was born November 1, 1938 in Tehachapi, CA to David E. and Viria M. (Elliff) Robinson. 

In May of 1961 he met his soon to be wife in a whirlwind romance and was married six weeks later on July 8, 1961, a marriage that lasted 61 ½ years. Earl was always Wanda’s “stability” and Wanda was always Earl’s “spice of life."








Earl was raised in Barton and Dade Counties in Missouri and graduated from Ukiah High School in Ukiah, CA in 1957. Following high school, he served in the United States Army and was in the Army Reserves for six years. In 1965 he came to Nevada where he worked for the Nevada Police Department until 1973. 

At that time, he moved to Idaho and worked in law enforcement until 1981when he returned to Nevada and continued working with the Nevada Police Department retiring in 2005. Earl worked in Law Enforcement for 40 years. Throughout his career, he worked as a Deputy Sheriff, Dispatcher, Animal Control, and as a Prison Guard.








In addition to his wife Wanda, survivors include four children, Richard Robinson (Ilona), Nevada, Audra Kay Allen (Joseph), Lamar, MO, Paul Robinson, Nevada, and Amanda Delaney (Randy), Caddo Mills, TX; grandchildren, Gabrial Robinson, Anastasia Robinson, Amber Coleman (Nate), Elizabeth Austin (Sean), Savannah Delaney, Logan Delaney, Liam Delaney, Layton Delaney, Kaylee Delaney; two step-grandchildren, Janet Andrews (Nate), and Ty Allen (Courtney); numerous great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Christopher Austin; brothers, Darrell Robinson, and Gary Trent; sisters, Della Mitchell, and Connie Stump.

Graveside services with Military Funeral Honors will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Round Prairie Cemetery in Dade County, MO with Chaplain Daniel Powell officiating. Friends may call from Tuesday morning December 27th through noon on Wednesday at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.

Memorials are suggested in his name to Gentiva Hospice c/o Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.
