(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Marilyn Sue Hammond, age 78, of Webb City, Mo, passed away on Friday December 23, 2022, at the Webb City Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Marilyn was born on June 7th, 1944, in Beaty community Arkansas, the daughter of the late Edwin Calhoun Sanford and Margaret Eleanor (Taylor) Sanford. Marilyn was a Homemaker for many years.
She married Gary Lloyd Hammond on October 31st, 1970, in Joplin Mo. Gary preceded her in death on August 3rd, 1991. Marilyn is also preceded in death by her Brothers Don Taylor (Bud) Sanford, Paul Eugene Sanford, Jon Michael Sanford, Fenton Edwin (Sandy) Sanford, and one sister Patricia Ann Warren. Marilyn is Survived by her older sister Clara Eleanor Cheek, one sister-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
She enjoyed crochet and building puzzles. She also loved to spend time with her family and will be missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday January 2, 2023 at the Mason-Woodard Chapel. The family will receive friends during a time of visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. Monday prior to the service.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
