Julia Durbin

Julia Ann Durbin, age 65, of Joplin, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin.

Julia, daughter of the late John “J.J.” and Verba (Brizendine) Durbin, was born on January 4, 1957, in Joplin. She was a lifelong Joplin resident and a graduate of Parkwood High School with the Class of 1975. 

She started her career with Freeman Health Systems over 29 years ago and was currently an account representative with Freeman Health Essentials for the last 17 years. Julia was a cat lover, enjoyed shopping and watching Christmas movies all year long.

 

Survivors include her son, Adam Durbin, of Springfield; her siblings, Verlia Feather, of Derby, KS, LaDora Durbin, of Diamond, John Durbin, of Joplin, and James Kellhofer, of Joplin; and eight nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 19, 2022, at 6:00 PM with a private family burial to take place at a later date. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 5:00 PM until service time on Monday, December 19th. The family requests memorial contributions be made in memory of Julia to the Joplin Humane Society and may be entrusted to the mortuary.
