(From Greenfield Funeral Chapel)Naomi Nell Shelton, of Lockwood, MO, departed this life on Thursday, December 22, 2022, in the Good Shepherd Community Care and Rehabilitation Facility at the age of 83.
She was born on July 11, 1939 in Jerico Springs, MO to Paul and Birdie (Dodd) Perkins. She was united in marriage to Paul C. Shelton. Naomi was caring nurse throughout her life. She loved being a Christian, and teaching God’s word to people. Naomi was a member of the Round Grove Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Paul and Birdie Perkins; one daughter, Lisa Huser; two brothers, Delbert Perkins and Meredith Perkins; and one sister, Sue Brown.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Volkman and husband David of Lockwood, MO and Amy Bates and husband Scott of Arcadia, FL; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Greenfield Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Brasher Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. until service time in the funeral chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Compassion International. Services are under the care of Greenfield Funeral Chapel.
