Bobbie Lee

Bobbie Elie Lee, 96, of Carthage, Missouri, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022, at his home. Bobbie was born on May 14, 1926, in Olathe, Kansas to Paul Lee and Mabel “Briden” Lee. 

Bobbie has lived in the Jasper County area his whole life. He worked in construction with his dad, he built the Whistler’s building back in 1953, helped maintain a family farm, and he was also employed at Locarni Marble for 31 years. 









Bobbie was a war veteran who served his country as part of the United States Army. He was blessed with a green thumb and put out a huge garden every year. He loved to spend time with his grandkids and great grandkids.

Bobbie was joined in marriage to Ethel Howell in Columbus, Kansas, on October 14, 1946; she preceded him in death earlier this year on October 22, 2022.

Survivors include his two sons, Ronnie Lee (Francine) of Carthage, Donald Lee of Jasper; two daughters, Mary Foster (Alan) of Emmett, Kansas, and Joyce Hamilton (Murrell) of Jasper; a sister, Lulla Bell Hemby of Carthage; brother and sister in law, Dexter and Virginia Holleyman of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 19 grandkids, Jeff, Janett, Joseph, Cody, Clint, Abby, Morgan, Jeffrey, Alisha, Kelsey, Darrin, Skyler, Sam, Cary, Grace, Ben, Candy, Crystal, and Robert; 45 great grandkids; and several nieces and nephews.
Bobbie was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Lee; parents, Paul and Mabel Lee; a son, Bobby Lynn Lee (2008); four brothers, Charlie, Matt, Joe, and Paul; and three sisters, Wuanita, Evelyn, and Patty.








A funeral service is scheduled for Bobbie at 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at the Ulmer Funeral Home in Carthage. A visitation will be held the evening before from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Ulmer Funeral Home. Burial will follow immediately after the service at Paradise Cemetery in Jasper, Missouri.
