(From Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home)John Wallace Farley, 81, of Reeds, Missouri was called home to Heaven on Friday December 16, 2022 while surrounded by family at his home. He was born in Tioga, West Virginia on February 11, 2022; the son of the late Charles Clinton and Ada Florence (Hinkle) Farley. He was united in marriage on May 15, 1981 in Houston, Texas to Frances Dorene Larkin; she survives.
He was a retired painter and farmer. He was also a member of the Painters Union and was of Methodist Faith.
John is survived by his wife Frances of the home; four sons: Robert Dale Farley of South Carolina, Roger John Farley of Dover, Tennessee, Donald Edward Rickman of Reeds, Missouri, and Douglas Lee Smith of Aurora, Missouri; one daughter: Mary Lou Conrad of Dover, Tennessee; three brothers: Harry Farley of Tioga, West Virginia, Billy Farley of Tioga, West Virginia, and Charles “Bob” Farley of North Carolina; three sisters: Ester Crabtree of Beverly, West Virginia, Helen Boggs of Fenton, Michigan and Sue Shafer of Michigan; sisters-in-law: Phyllis Farley of Yule, Florida, and Sue Smith of Purdy, Missouri; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren that he loved like his own; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Charles and Ada; and two brothers: Thomas and Richard.
Visitation for John is being held on Wednesday December 21, 2022 from 1:00p.m. to 2:00p.m. at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri. Funeral services will immediately follow services at 2:00p.m. ono Wednesday December 21, 2022 at 2:00p.m. at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow services at Purdy Cemetery in Purdy, Missouri.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri.
