Jimmy Quigg

Mr. James Oren “Jimmy” Quigg, 62, of Anderson, Missouri, departed this life on Christmas morning, December 25, 2022, at Landmark Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.

Jimmy entered this life on September 13, 1960, in Kansas City, Missouri, the youngest of three children born to the late Hugh Nelson and Frances (Jolly) Quigg. He was raised in Anderson and was a 1979, graduate of McDonald County High School. 








He started in the poultry industry with Hudson Foods in 1986. He was employed for many years at the Hunte Corporation in Goodman before returning to Noel to work at the Tyson plant in 2009. He enjoyed football, especially the Kansas City Chiefs and treasured time spent with his family and friends. He attended Gods Glory Tabernacle in Pineville, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Stephen Quigg on September 28, 2022; and a nephew Stacey Pratt.

Jimmy is survived by his sister, Janice Pratt and husband, Jr. of Anderson, Missouri; two nephews, Travis Pratt of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Marcus Pratt and wife, Jessica, of Anderson; three great nieces, Ashton Smith and husband, Kyle, Alyssa Sherwood and husband, Tyler and Maggie Pratt; one great nephew, Lane Pratt; a great-great-nephew, Zaidyn Sherwood; as well as a host of other family and friends.






 

Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2022 in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Pastors Bill Hackworth and Bob Holloway officiating. Burial will follow at Peace Valley Cemetery in Anderson. 

Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Travis Pratt, Marcus Pratt, Lane Pratt, Kyle Smith, Tyler Sherwood and Carson Hoth. The family will receive friends on Wednesday morning beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Memorials are being directed to Gods Glory Tabernacle c/o the funeral home.
