(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Ruth Ann Coble Brunner, age 74, of Joplin, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2022, at her home, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Ruth Ann was born on January 3, 1948, in Carthage, MO, the daughter of the late Donald Eugene Coble and Luella Louise “Polly” (Axtell) Coble. She graduated from Carthage High School in 1966 and served as the class secretary. She then attended MSSU.
Ruth Ann worked forty-nine years for Schreiber Foods in Carthage, MO where she retired from the H.R. Department. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church. Ruth Ann was on the Mercy Hospital Auxiliary Board and served as Board Treasurer. She also worked for five years in the Mercy Gift Shop. She volunteered at her church in Carthage to help restore photos that were found after the Joplin tornado. She enjoyed line dancing, golfing, and swimming in her pool.
She is survived by her daughter, Wendy Brunner Elrod and husband Kevin; her companion, Glenn Lea, Joplin; former husband Ron Brunner of fifty years; three sisters: Donna Bundy, Joplin; Betty Danner and husband Mike, Carthage; and Janet Snyder and husband Dennis, Midland, TX; two grandsons, Caleb and Gavin Lewis; two step-grandchildren, Andrew Elrod and Brynlee Elrod; three nephews, Scott Williams and wife Susan; Danny Block and wife Susan; and Brooks Jackson. She was preceded in death by a niece, Bobbie Tinder.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 17, at Faith Baptist Church, 2424 East 20th Street, Joplin. Reverend Brian Wagahoff will officiate. The visitation will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Church prior to the service. Donations can be made to Faith Baptist Church in lieu of flowers.
