Christine Kidd

Christine (Wood) Kidd, age 49, Diamond, Missouri passed away Wednesday July 5, 2023.

She was born July 3, 1974 in Carthage, Missouri to William Joseph and Vickie (Hendrix) Wood.

Christine loved camping, the great outdoors, music, dancing and especially her grandchildren. She left memories that will live on in her family's hearts including going to concerts, boating on the lake,
dancing under the stars, and traveling. She did not know a stranger. 

She was a mom, not only to her children, but to everyone who entered her home. She made a lasting impact on her community and left a legacy full of love, friendship, and laughter. She lit up every room, danced anywhere she could, and filled every heart she touched. She had a special way of making a person feel welcome, encouraged them to be themselves, and would make everyone feel as though they belonged. 

She was so selfless. It was something that was pure and came natural to her. She was a wife, a mom, a friend. Most of all she was unique and when in her presence you knew you were in the company of someone rare, special, and one of a kind. 

Christine did it her own way and there isn’t a phrase or word that could completely describe her, but the above mentioned is the only comparison that could even begin to come close. To know her is to understand, because she was so much to so many. She will forever be loved and her memory cherished.

She married Donald Kidd, January 5, 1991, and he survives. 

Christine is also survived by her mother, Vickie and husband Michael “Pops” Butler, three sons; Dakota Joseph Kidd, Diamond, Missouri, Tyler Blake Kidd, Diamond, Missouri, Donald Joe Kidd, Sioux City, Iowa; one daughter, Jazmyn Jade Hyde and husband Brenden Hyde; four grandchildren; Cali, Braxton, Ashton, and Keaton, as well as a half sister, Rachel Clark and brother, Daniel Wood.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Joseph Wood, and one daughter, Alisha Michelle Kidd.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Monday July 10, 2023, at Mason-Woodard Mortuary. Burial will follow at Stone Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 1:00 pm Monday prior to the service.
