(From Ozark Funeral Home)Donald Wayne Marsh, 82 of Jane Missouri, departed this life on June 29, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his family.
He was born January 10, 1941, in Moran, Kansas, to the late Emory and Mina (Timmons) Marsh.
Donald served his country in the United States Navy from 1959 to 1962 as an Aviation Electrician. During this time, he served aboard the USS Yorktown as a helicopter technician.
Upon leaving the military, Donald went to work for NCR Computer Company as a computer technician, working on mainframes. He married Freda Fowler in LaHarpe, Kansas on December 27, 1963. The couple were members of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Jane, Missouri. He was a hard worker but took some time out for two of his favorite pastimes which were quail and pheasant hunting with his father and son Larry before his father’s death and traveling with his wife Freda.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters, two brothers, one grandson, and two daughters-in-law.
He is survived by his loving wife Freda; two sons, Steven Marsh from Grain Valley, Missouri and Larry Marsh from Anderson, Missouri; two sisters and a daughter-in-law; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service for Donald will be held Thursday, July 6, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at New Bethel Cemetery, Anderson, Missouri with full military honors.
