Ron Dowling

Ron Dowling, age 76, of Carl Junction, Missouri passed away Thursday July 6, 2023, following a sudden
illness.

He was born March 23, 1947, in Allen, Nebraska to Kenneth and Dorothy (Whalen) Dowling.

After graduating from high school Ron enlisted in the US Navy where he became a Navy Corpsman attached to the Marine Corps serving in Vietnam. 

Returning home, he was employed by Atlas Powder Company where he worked until retirement. After retiring he continued to work part time at other employment including Casey’s and Dollar General Store in Carl Junction. Ron, never one to sit still, unless it was under his shade tree at the house, cared for his lawn and garden as well as those of others. He enjoyed fishing and being with family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Kenneth (Ramey) Dowling, and other extended
family members.

Ron is survived by his wife, Darlene, Carl Junction, Missouri; daughter, Dorri Donnel (Dustin), Diamond, Missouri; stepson, Kris Tucker (Angie), Joplin, Missouri; stepdaughter, Kim Tucker, Joplin, Missouri.

Ron and Darlene have 4 grandchildren: Grace Donnel, Logan Tucker, Jretyn Tucker, and Jerome Tucker.

His surviving brothers and sisters, Francis Dowling, Granton, Nebraska; sister, Cheri Krusemark (Merle), Wakefield, Nebraska; brother, Rick Dowling (Mikki), Bloomfield, Nebraska; sister, Peggy McCoy, Martinsburg, Nebraska; sister, Kathy Pond, Martinsburg, Nebraska; sister, Sandy Sullivan (Steve), Martinsburg, Nebraska; sister-in-law, Gloria Dowling, Allen Nebraska. Ron had a large extended family that includes many nieces and nephews.
