(From Knell Mortuary)Mark Stephen Garrison, 54, Carthage, Missouri, passed away Thursday evening, August 31, 2023, at Freeman Hospital West, Joplin, Missouri. Mark was born April 26, 1969, in Carthage, Missouri, the son of Larry Allen Garrison, Sr. and Robin (Spain) Garrison. He was a 1987 graduate of Carthage High School.
Mark worked as a meat cutter for Cloud’s Meat Processing. Mark was a Christian by faith. He loved guns, fishing, hunting, bowling, and drag racing.
Survivors include a daughter, Kayla Hole (Mike), Carthage; two sons, Clint Garrison (Casey), Carthage, and Zach Garrison, Carthage; five grandchildren, Wyatt Hole, Kayden Hole, Lennox Hole, Magnolia Hole, and Cambrie Garrison; his mother, Robin Vongonten (stepfather Dale); two brothers, Allen Garrison (Cheryl), and Tom Garrison (Cindy); two sisters, Jane Davis (Jack), and Jeane Holzwarth (Justin); and many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Allen Garrison, Sr.
Memorial services will be held at 3 pm Saturday, September 16, 2023 at The Bridge A Christian Church, Carthage. Online condolences may be expressed through www.knellmortuary.com. Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Knell Mortuary.
