(From Derfelt Funeral Home) Amber Marie (Baugh) Clagg, age 42, passed away at her home in Riverton at 4:05 AM on Wednesday, January 10, 2024. She fought a hard battle with cancer for two and a half years.
Amber was born on base at Fort Wainwright in Fairbanks, AK on June 21, 1981 to Paul J. Baugh, Jr. and Michelle Barnett. She was a lifetime resident of the Galena area, and enjoyed spending her time visiting rummage sales, flea markets, and discount stores, and also enjoyed staying home to care for her children.
She was incredibly giving, compassionate, and was always the "peacemaker" in the face of any conflict. She attended both Riverton House of Prayer Church and First Christian Church of Galena.
She was united in marriage with Thomas "Reggie" Clagg on April 11, 2016 in Galena, KS. He survives.

Baugh, Jr. (wife, Brenda) of Baxter Springs, KS; her mother, Michelle Barnett (boyfriend, Toby) of Galena, KS; three daughters, Leraya and Alydia of the home, and Madison Valdez (husband, C.J.) of Webb City, MO; one granddaughter, Ava Valdez; one brother, Gabriel Baugh (Wife, Sarah) of Galena; three sisters, Renae Reynolds of Joplin, MO, Kindel Hunter of Carthage, MO, and Vanessa Johnson (husband, Brett) of Joplin; and her dear friend, Shana Ewer (boyfriend, Will) of Baxter Springs.
Mrs. Clagg has been entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home of Galena for cremation. The family will host a celebration of life at a later date. Online condolences may be expressed at www.derfeltfuneralhomes.com.
