Dale Jennings

Everett ‘Dale’ Jennings 93, Greenfield, MO. died on January 13, 2024. Dale Jennings was born August 7, 1930, in Visalia, Calif., to John Jennings and Floy Runyon Jennings. He married Vesta M. Hurt on December 1, 1951, in Greenfield, MO. 

Dale was a veteran serving his country with the United States Army during the Korean War as a Sergeant First Class. He was a member of the Main Street Baptist Church in Greenfield, MO where he was a treasurer for many years. He retired from Hussman Inc. in Oklahoma City, OK and returned to Greenfield where he served as the city Mayor for two terms.

Survivors include a daughter, Cheryl Franklin and husband Ron Franklin of Carthage MO; three sons, Gary D. Jennings and his wife, Cathi, Mobile AL, Terry L. Jennings and his wife, Stacey from Edmond OK and Michael K. Jennings and his wife Kathryn from Edmond OK; a brother, Joe Jennings and his wife Janice reside in Willard MO; twelve grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren.

Preceding him in death is his wife of 62 years Vesta Mae (Hurt) Jennings; two sisters, Cleo Richter, Joyce Butler; two brothers; John and Glen Jennings.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm. Saturday January 20th at the Main Street Baptist Church with Minister Ron Franklin officiating. Burial will be in Greenfield, MO cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1pm to 2 pm January 20th at the Main Street Baptist Church.
