Ruth Broady

Bessie “Ruth” Broady, age 91, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away Tuesday January 9, 2024.

She was born October 15, 1932 in Stella, Missouri to Lloyd and Alice (Collins) Smith.

Ruth was an active member of Harmony Heights Baptist Church for over 55 years where she had taught Children’s Sunday School and volunteered with ARM.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Don, two brothers, Truman Smith, Earl Smith and one sister Lucille Nunn.

Ruth is survived by two sons, Mark Broady and wife Kayla, Kent Broady and wife Lisa, six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday January 17, 2024 at Harmony Heights Baptist Church with Pastor Charlie Burnett officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 1:00 pm Wednesday prior to the service.
