Bryant Vann

(From Parker Mortuary)

Bryant C. Vann, known affectionately as Bryant to his friends and family, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2026, in Joplin, Missouri. Born on May 3, 1960, in Fort Stewart, Georgia, Bryant's warm smile and friendly demeanor touched the lives of many throughout his 65 years.

Bryant was a proud graduate of Elgin High School in Elgin, Illinois. His pursuit of knowledge led him to complete two years of college, which opened doors to a variety of opportunities. He went on to work for several years at the Joplin Globe, where he was respected by his colleagues and formed lasting friendships.

A man of simple pleasures, Bryant found joy in the small things in life. He was an avid card player, relishing the competition and camaraderie of the game. Football season was a special time for Bryant, as he cheered on his favorite teams, the Chicago Bears and the Dallas Cowboys, with an enthusiasm that was infectious. His love for a good meal was well-known, and he never missed the chance to gather around the table with friends and family for both the food and the fellowship.

Bryant's legacy is carried on by his loving family. He leaves behind his two sons, Tremelle Coleman and Christopher Coleman, and his daughter, Myrian K. Ray, who will forever cherish the memories of their father. His twin brother, Brent Vann, and brother, Clayton Vann Jr., will remember Bryant as not only a sibling but a true friend. His special niece, Ricsheka Vann, along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends, will continue to feel the warmth of his presence in their hearts.

No services are planned at this time with Parker Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
