Danny Friend

Danny Friend, age 70, of Exeter, Missouri, born on May 21, 1956, in Monett, Missouri, to Roy and Joyce (Bible) Boke passed away on June 15, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. A dedicated veteran and valued community member, Mr. Friend’s life was marked by service, family devotion, and a steadfast work ethic.

Mr. Friend served honorably in the United States Air Force from 1976 to 1980. Following his military service, he embarked on a career with the Midwest telephone company in Carterville, Missouri, where he worked diligently until the company ceased operations.








A passionate outdoorsman, Danny found great joy in fishing and hunting, pursuits that allowed him to connect with nature and cherish time outdoors. Above all, he treasured moments spent with his children and grandchildren, embodying the role of a loving father and grandfather.

Danny Friend is survived by his wife, Sheila Padgett Eaton Friend, as well as his son, Lance Eaton, and daughter-in-law, Tracy, of Exeter, Missouri. He is also survived by three daughters: Melynda Warbington of Pierce City, Missouri; Jenny Friend of Pierce City, Missouri; and Penny Frawley and her husband, William, of California, Maryland. His legacy continues through ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Additionally, he is survived by his brother, Roy Boke of Mount Vernon, Missouri, and his sister, Joyce Bible of Stotts City, Missouri, along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Joann Witt and Mary Boke, as well as his parents.








A graveside service to honor Danny Friend will be held on June 19, 2026, at 1:00 PM with Paul Wahlert officiating at Clio Cemetery, Highway 39, Jenkins, Missouri 65605. Family, friends, and all who knew him are invited to pay their respects and celebrate his life.

Mr. Friend’s enduring contribution to his country, commitment to his work, and dedication to his family reflect a life well lived and deeply respected. He will be remembered with honor and affection by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society and entrusted to White Funeral Home and Crematory.

Arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home and Crematory in Cassville, Missouri.
