Catherine "Cathy" Vanslyke, age 67 of Webb City, Missouri passed away Sunday May 22, 2016 following an extended illness.
She was born in Carthage, Missouri.
Cathy retired from the Webb City R-VII School District after 35 years of service. She was the head cook at Mark Twain Elementary School. She enjoyed sewing, playing Bunco, and working puzzles. She was a graduate of the Webb City High School class of 1967.
She married Bruce Vanslyke on September 15, 1967 in Webb City, Missouri and he survives. Cathy is also survived by one son, Todd Vanslyke, Webb City, Missouri; one sister, Peggy Workizer and husband Dave, Ozark, Missouri; one grandson, Michael Vanslyke; one grand daughter, Molly Vanslyke; one great grandson, Drake McCully, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as special friends, Susie Smith, Webb City, Missouri, and Tune Browns, Asbury, Missouri.
Cathy was preceded in death by one brother, Marvin Steverson.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
