Gertraud G. Dainty, age 72, Webb City, passed away at 10:10 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2016 at Mercy Hospital after an illness.
Gertraud was born May 5, 1944 in Ungermunde, East Germany to the late Bernhard Neitzel and Gertraud Liehers Neitzel.
Gertie, a homemaker, also worked in retail, was an LPN and was an associate for Pampered Chef. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, antiquing, and her beloved pets. She was loved by her family and will be missed by all.
In addition to her parents, Gertraud was preceded in death by her husband, Cleo L. Dainty on September 5, 2012 and by a step daughter, Cecelia.
Survivors include her children, Michael Dainty and his wife, Janene, Collinsville, Oklahoma, Patrick Dainty and his wife, Patricia, Bixby, Oklahoma, Susanne Dainty, Joplin, Steven Dainty, Columbia, Missouri; brothers, Heinz Neitzel and wife, Micha, Bernhard Neitzel and wife, Christine and Wolf Dieter Neitzel, all of Germany; two grandchildren, Marsha Matthews, Chad Dainty; five great grandchildren, Alayna Matthews, Quentin Matthews, Marcus Matthews, Adyson Kate Dainty, Logan Michael Dainty; and several other extended family members, including nieces, Maureen Kay Wright and Beverly Hart.
Memorial services are planned for Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. The family will receive friends following the services at the mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to Easter Seals Midwest-Central Missouri, Autism Services, 918 Bernadette Drive, Columbia, Missouri, 65203.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
