Wilma Ilene Parker, age 71, of Monett, MO died on Thursday, May 12, 2016, at the Lacoba Homes Inc. in Monett, MO. Mrs. Parker was born in Granby, MO on Tuesday, February 06, 1945. She was the daughter of Alvin and Bessie (Gibbens) Ball. Wilma married Norman Parker on Friday, February 24, 1961, in Miami, OK and he preceded her in death on December 18, 2005.
Surviving are the following: her daughter, Melinda Kay Ives and husband, Larry, of Monett, MO; one sister, Thelma Adams of Newtonia, MO; one brother, Floyd Ball of Joplin, MO; and two grandchildren. Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her husband, Norman and one son, Rick Parker who died on December 30,1980.
The family will receive friends at Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO on Sunday, May 15, 2016, from 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO on Monday, May 16, 2016, beginning at 1:30 PM with Rev. Lendall Morris officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakdale Cemetery in Monett, MO.
