Connie Ebbs, 73 of Frontenac, died Monday May 16, 2016 at the Via Christi Emergency Room from a sudden illness.
She was born April 9, 1943 in St. Paul, KS the daughter of Leo and Verna (Thomas) Merando. She was a lifetime resident of the Frontenac/Capaldo area. She attended Frontenac schools and was a 1960 graduate of Frontenac High School.
Connie married Raymond Ebbs on August 27, 1960 in Columbus, KS; he survives at the home.
She worked for nearly 30 years for Dillon’s Grocery in the deli department.
Connie was of the Catholic Faith.
Survivors include her husband Raymond of the home; a daughter Cheryl Edge and husband Harley of Carl Junction, MO; a son Michael Ebbs of Pittsburg; 2 brothers Ken Merando of Valley Falls, Guy Merando of Kansas City; a sister Carmella Born of Olathe; 10 Grandchildren Railyn Fleming, Madison, Morgan, Emily, Damian and Jaxson Ebbs Ryan, Jason and Justin Edge; 2 Great-grandchildren Miah Rai Fleming and Joshua Harley Edge. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son Jeffrey Lawrence Ebbs, a Granddaughter Brooklynn Belle Ebbs, a grandson Joshua Edge and 2 sisters Judy Edwards and Diane Merando-Stephens.
Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Friday May 20th 2016 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg with Father Rick Kotrba officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Crocker Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
