Myrtle L. Henson, age 82 of Diamond, Mo., passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Mercy in Joplin, Mo., following a short illness.
She was born May 1, 1934 in Columbus, Ks., to Andrew and Georgia Gregory Morris. Myrtle was a full time evangelist for the Jehovah’s Witnesses Church and a homemaker. She was an excellent cake decorator and had even decorated the wedding cakes for her grandchildren’s weddings, Myrtle also enjoyed working in her garden.
She married James Henson on in Miami, Ok., he proceeded her in death on July , 1999, survivors include two daughters, Marcia Adkins and her husband Tim of Diamond, Mo., Carol Brown and her husband David of Humble, Tx., two sons, James Henson of Jasper, Tx., Nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren, a brother Marvin Morris of Miami, Ok. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Rex Henson, a sister Martha Horton and a brother, Neil Morris
Services are planned for Saturday May 14, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall Jehovah’s Witnesses East Unit.
Arrangements under the care of the Mason-Woodard Mortuary and Crematory.
