Carolyn “Carol” Edwards, age 74, of Webb City, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018 following a decline in health.
She was born February 17, 1944 in Webb City, Missouri, to John and Dorothy (Miller) Davis.
Carol graduated from Webb City High School Class of 1962. She worked for 30 years at the former Broadway Market and then for Wal-Mart in Webb City, Missouri. She enjoyed walking and being outside when her health allowed. Her grandchildren were the love of her life.
She is survived by two sons, Eric Edwards and wife, Teresa, and Dean Edwards and wife, Sonia; one brother, Jerry Davis; five grandchildren, Seth Edwards, Abby Edwards, Madison Edwards, Ashten Metts and Sierra Edwards; five great-grandchildren, Baker Malone, Lincoln Roderique, Lawson Roderique, Gracie Edwards and Ellie Metts; and her longtime friend, Bill Thomas.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; and three sisters, Imogene Tappana, Ruth Purcell and Bonnie Allen.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 22, 2018 at the Webb City Cemetery with Scott Smith officiating. The family will receive friends 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
