Martha Jane Honn, age 92, of Webb City, Missouri, went to her Heavenly home on Monday, October 15, 2018, in Afton, Oklahoma, while surrounded by family.
Martha was born March 21, 1926 in Enid, Oklahoma, to the late Clark and Effie (King) Golding. She was employed at General Mills for 10 years. Martha enjoyed many things in life including cooking, gardening, fishing, traveling, music and spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Julie Walker and Barbara Jean Chapman; three brothers, Robert, Richard and William Golding; a sister, Barbara Jean Golding; and her treasured pets, Taffy, Baby and LuLu.
Survivors include her biological children, Janet Mahurin and husband, Lonnie, Joyce Buttrum and husband, Jim, and Roger Chapman and wife, Jo; a sister, Betty Ruf, and husband, Tommy; her adopted daughters, Sherry Wigent, Ethel Collins, Marcia Petty, Laura Emery, Beverly Gilstrap and Delores Brown; numerous grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services are 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 20, 2018, at The Birthing Center Church in Webb City, Missouri, with Kenneth Minor officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation from 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will follow at Carterville Cemetery. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Jim Buttrum, Jack Witt, Joey Mahurin, Mason Mahurin, Rodney Henry and Henry Wigent.
