Victoria Van Hove, 72 of Joplin passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at her home.
She was born on March 29, 1946 in Sioux Falls, SD to the late Theodore Otten and Althea Kortemeyer Otten.
In addition to her parents, and husband Keith, a brother, Vern; and two sisters, June Scott and Arlis Hentges, preceded her in death.
Grateful for having shared her life are two daughters, Jamie Ferrell and husband, Wayne, Tulsa OK, and Tami Berens and husband, Riston Berens, Parker SD; one son, Keith Van Hove Jr., Tulsa, OK; three grandchildren, Braelyn, Carter, and Amara Berens, Parker, SD; a special nephew, Troy Otten and wife, Kharla of Mesa, AZ; and one sister, Joyce Egge, Sioux Falls, SD.
A graduate of Parker High School, she enjoyed working in law enforcement. She later drove a semi-truck with her husband and love of her life, Keith. Her real passion in life became caring for the family ranch and their cattle (her babies). She had a passion for animals that was unmatched. She was very involved in her church and several volunteer groups including the Hornet Community Club for many years.
A celebration of life service is planned for 6:00 p.m. in the Faith Tabernacle Church, Joplin. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the ASPCA or the American Cancer Society and may be left in care of the mortuary.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
