George Morrow

George Lewis Morrow, of Greenfield, MO, departed this life on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, MO at the age of 83.

He was born on August 24, 1935 on the family farm in Dade County, MO to Thomas and Lela (Blair) Morrow. George graduated from Greenfield High School in 1953. He served his country in the United States Army. George was united in marriage to Geneva Mae Mallory on January 13, 1962 in Mansfield, MO. They shared 56 wonderful years together.

George worked as a mechanic for many years. He also enjoyed farming. George enjoyed watching his sons and grandkids play sports. He loved gardening and sharing his produce with family and neighbors. George enjoyed having calves on the farm. He was a member of the South Greenfield Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Thomas and Lela Morrow; and one sister, Thelma Newland.

Survivors include his loving wife, Geneva Morrow; three sons, Jeff Morrow of Springfield, MO, Greg Morrow and wife Shawn of Greenfield, MO, and Mark Morrow and wife Julie of Lamar, MO; seven grandchildren, Alexis Morschheimer and husband Henry, Abby Gilmartin and husband Dylan, Todd Morrow, Kelly Morrow, Kendall Morrow, Quin Morrow, and Trey Morrow; two great-grandchildren, Hayes Morschheimer and Tucker Morschheimer; and one sister, Pearl Tabone.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 12, 2018, in Pennsboro Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Pennsboro Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared at www.greenfieldfuneralchapel.com. Services are under the care of Greenfield Funeral Chapel.
