Kenneth ‘Ken’ G. Keeling, 70, Neosho, entered into rest on October 14, 2018 at his home, following a sudden illness.
Ken was born November 9, 1947 in Leavenworth, Kansas, the son of Ernie and Gracie L. (Carney) Keeling. He was a graduate of Mansfield High School. Ken served in the U.S. Army Air Calvary during the Vietnam War and was a recipient of the Purple Heart and Silver Star. Ken moved to Neosho in 1979 from Springfield and had worked as a district service manager for Doosan Corporation prior to his retirement. He enjoyed motorcycles, playing golf, he was an avid reader and was very creative; he was a member of the Combat Vet Association and the Neosho United Methodist Church.
Ken and Carolyn (Wallace) were married on April 1, 1976 in Kansas City, Missouri and she survives. Additional are two children, Kendra Catron and husband Todd of Edmond, OK and Evan Keeling and wife, Andrea of Portland, OR; two beloved granddaughters, Molly Catron and Lucy Catron; one brother, Clifford Keeling of Seymour, MO; three sisters, Rose Elaine Adamson of Seymour, MO; Katherine Cantrell and husband, Donnie of Mansfield, MO and Anna Marie Brooke and husband, Craig Adamson of Strafford, MO; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members, and a special great nephew, Kaeden Tebbets.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Oct. 19, 2018 at 2 pm at the Neosho United Methodist Church, Pastor Mitch Jarvis will officiate. The casket will be closed at all times. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Ken Kendall, Rick Bussey, Bill Carlsten, Tyler Nelson, Keith Carpenter and Ron Lies. The family will receive friends following the service until 4 pm at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Ken may be made to the Neosho United Methodist Church or Faithful Friends Animal Advocates, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66; Neosho, MO 64850.
