William Douglas Hanson passed away at his home in Saginaw, MO on October 15, 2018 at the age of 71 years, nine months, and 25 days.
He was born in Pueblo, CO on December 20, 1946 to Lewis and Jean (Young) Hanson. William worked as a safety manager for the construction industry and had served in the US Navy. He enjoyed racing cars when he was younger and remained a NASCAR fan; he also enjoyed sports, supporting his favorite teams, the San Francisco 49ers and San Francisco Giants. His greatest love in life were his grandchildren.
William married Ruth Ann Waites on March 5, 1977 in Pueblo, CO; she preceded him in death on November 27, 2015. He is survived by one daughter, Jodie Owens of Pueblo, CO; one son, Ronald Gene Fluke of Round Rock, TX; one sister, Karolyn Madrid of Pueblo; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife and his parents.
The family will hold private memorial services at a later date.
