Steve E. Coy, 62, of rural Wentworth, MO, passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2018.
Steve was born on November 2, 1955 in Burlingame, CA, son of the late Donald H. and Wilma L. (Tanner) Coy. The family moved from California to Missouri when Steve was at a young age. He attended East Newton Schools and later Crowder College. Steve worked for a clothing manufacturer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing softball in his younger years.
Steve married Millicent “Mickey” Hagebusch, and to this union, two children were born. She preceded him in death. Also preceding him, was a brother, Jeffrey Lynn Coy; and two sisters, Brenda Lee Coy and Elizabeth Ann Coy.
Steve is survived by his children, Shane Coy, of Nixa, MO and Shannon Rice and her husband Tim, of Pierce City, MO; his grandchildren, Brittany and Zachary Rice, of Pierce City; and two brothers, Tom Coy and his wife Mary, of Wentworth and Frank Coy and his wife Jacy, of Pierce City.
Steve’s wishes were to be cremated. There are no services planned at this time. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, MO
