Naomi Joy Neal of Miami, OK passed away Sunday October 28, 2018 at Windridge Nursing and Rehab in Miami, OK. She as 82.
Naomi was born January 12, 1936 in Salem, OR to Gilbert and Doris (Counts) Starr. She graduated in 1953 from College Grove, OR High School. She had lived in Miami for 10 years moving here from Grove, OK. Prior to living in Grove she lived in Jane, MO.
Naomi worked for Daisy BB Gun in Rogers, AR over 30 years in Human Resources. She was a member of Southern Hills Baptist Church in Miami.
Naomi was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Neal on April 11, 1997, her parents, a brother, Tom Starr and 2 sisters, Sharon Warner and Debra Edminston.
Survivors include 1 brother, Jerry Starr of Junction City, OR and 3 sisters, Rhoda and husband Harvey Enerson of Grand Forks, ND, Candace Aho of Salem, OR and Sharla and husband Gerry Deadmond of Oakland, OR.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Pleasant View Cemetery, northwest of Baxter Springs, KS with Rod Neal and Bruce Neal officiating. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. - 1: 30 p.m. prior to the graveside services at Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK. Services have been placed in the care of Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami, OK.
