Norma Fay Cunningham, age 64, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away Thursday evening, October 11, 2018, at NHC Healthcare in Joplin.
Norma was born a twin in Joplin, Missouri, on November 8, 1953, to the late Vern and Martha (Bloomfield) Cunningham. She was raised in Joplin where she attended school and remained a lifetime resident. For many years, Norma worked at the Joplin Sheltered Workshops. She enjoyed reading romance novels and spending time with her nieces and nephews. Norma was a member of the South Joplin Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Charlotte Pliler and Anita “Joan” Bishop; her companion, Rodney Fields; and her beloved dog, Lucky.
Survivors include her twin sister, Nancy Rickey, and her husband, Billy, of Joplin; two brothers, Mike Cunningham and Randy Cunningham, both of Joplin; three nieces, Anna, Lisa and Tracy; a nephew, Rocky; her special great-niece, Allison, as well as a host of other great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Norma has been taken for cremation and formal services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
