Suzie Wallace

Mary Suzanne “Suzie” Wallace, age 65, of Fairview, Missouri, passed away Sunday, October 21, 2018 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.

She was born July 26, 1953 in Monett, Missouri the daughter of Tom and Mary (Frazier) Mitchell. On November 22, 1969 she was united in marriage to James “Jim” Wallace, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Jamie Wallace of Fairview, Missouri and Mike Wallace and his wife Megan of Fairview, Missouri, and three great grandchildren, Lily, Myka and James; her parents, Tom and Mary Mitchell of Fairview, Missouri; three brothers, Gene Mitchell and his wife Irvalene of Neosho, Missouri, Danny Mitchell and his wife Pat of Fairview, Missouri and Johnny Mitchell and his wife Chris of Neosho, Missouri; two sisters, Sheila McNabb and her husband John of Wheaton, Missouri and Linda Shively and her husband Roger of Brookline, Missouri.

Suzie grew up and received her education at Wheaton where she graduated from high school. She spent most of her life helping her parents with their business, Mitchell Sawmill. She loved taking care of her parents and family, working outside and quilting.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, October 25, 2018 at McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton. Pastor Paul Wahlert will conduct the services. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Butterfield, Missouri.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton.

Contributions may be made to Legionnaires’ Disease in memory of Suzie.
