Judy Irene Johnson, age 71, of Joplin, passed away on Thursday October 18, 2018, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Mo., following a sudden illness.
Judy was born on July 20, 1947 in Moran, Ks., the daughter of the late Delbert Cady and Betty (Cady) McCabe. She worked in retail sales for Sears and most recently at Wal-Mart. She was a member of the Risen Ranch Church. Judy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family. She never met a stranger. She was a very giving person. She was a lover of all pets and she enjoyed going to flea markets.
Judy married Greg Johnson on December 28, 1996, and he survives. Other family members surviving; two daughters, Janet Meyer-Faucett and husband Steve, Weir, Ks. and Jeanette Meyer-Wilson and husband Joey, Weir, Ks.; two step-sons, Corey Johnson and wife Michelle, Bella Vista, Ar., and Randy Johnson and wife Lisa, Holt-Summit, Mo.; one brother, John Cady and wife Dee, of Idaho; one sister, Sandy Vena and husband Frank, Asbury, Mo.; ten grandchildren; Charlee Meyer, Dylan Faucett, Blake Faucett, Jacob Wilson, Megan Wilson, Logan Bonner, Tyler Johnson, Dani Johnson, Keely Johnson, and Krysta Johnson; and two great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Risen Ranch Cowboy Church near Carthage, Mo. Pastor Steve Stafford will officiate.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the Joplin Humane Society in care of the mortuary.
