Danny L. Green of Quapaw, OK passed away Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Freeman Health System in Joplin, MO. He was 60.
Danny was born March 12, 1958 in Baxter Springs, KS to Jack and Peggy (Miller) Green. He las a lifetime Picher and Quapaw resident. He was a 1976 graduate of Picher- Cardin High School.
Danny was a police officer and narcotics detective for Miami Police Department, and served on the Drug Task Force. He currently worked for USF Holland Trucking in Joplin, MO.
Danny married Sheila Alsbury on February 7, 1976. She survives of the home. Additional survivors include 3 daughters, Danra Green and Tara Jo Green of Quapaw, OK and Dameika Kelso and her husband Kody of Joplin, MO, 3 brothers, Jack Green of Owasso, OK, David Green of Eureka, AR and Dick Green of Miami, OK and 5 grandchildren, Brecklynn Green, Lockin Green, D'Naya Green, Cheslynn Kelso and Shaelynn Kelso.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at the Green Family Cemetery northeast of Quapaw, OK officiated by Danny Garner. Danny Burkybile, Chase Price, Mike Hoover, Matt Golden, Kody Kelso and Josie Monnier will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK. Services have been placed in the care of Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami, OK.
