Charles Paul “Chuck” Erwin, 78 of Carthage, MO passed away August 5, 2019 at his home. Chuck was born December 18, 1940 in Carthage, MO to T.L. and Melba (Harned) Erwin and was a lifetime Carthage resident.
Chuck was a retired salesman for the Phillip Morris Company. He was always more than willing to help, volunteering in numerous places around the community including Mercy McCune brooks, St. Luke’s Nursing home, Kids Day Out Kellogg Lake, Special Olympics, and served on the Myers Airport Board. Chuck was a member of the Rotarian Club and Masonic Lodge. He was an avid Razorback fan and loved all of Carthage Sports. He was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church.
Chuck was survived by two daughters Chally Armstrong (Dale) of Carthage, Holly Jordan (John) of Joplin, two sons Steve Erwin (Sherry) of Carthage and Joe Erwin (Kathleen) of Topeka KS. Two brothers Bob Erwin and Bill Erwin both of Nevada, MO. Ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Chuck is preceded in death by one sister Betty and two brothers Bubby and George.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday August 9, 2019 at Grace Episcopal Church of Church, with visitation to follow services. Contributions can be made to the Charity of choice in his Chucks memory. Online contributions can be made at www.ulmerfh.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Ulmer Funeral Home.
