Judy Kay Moore, age 70, passed away on Saturday August 3, 2019, at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, MO, following an illness.
Judy was born on August 29, 1948 in Carthage the daughter of the late Kenneth Bryan and Maxine (Greninger) Bryan Harris. She has been a lifetime area resident. She graduated from Carthage High School in 1966. She worked as an executive secretary for CFI, retiring in 2015. Following retirement, she worked part-time as an administrative assistant for Express Personnel Services. She was a Baptist. She enjoyed going shopping and to the casino.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Ash; Brother-in-law, James Ash; and a nephew Travis Hensley.
She is survived by two nieces, Pam Doke and husband Gary, Joplin, MO and Rhonda Peacock and boyfriend Mike Walters Joplin, MO; one nephew, Doug Kyger, Nashville, TN; great nieces and nephews, Stacey Hensley and boyfriend Scott Souders, Carl Junction, MO, Ashley Peacock and fiancé Chase Wilscam, Joplin, Alec Peacock, Joplin, MO, and Darren Doke and girlfriend Stephanie Charles, Galena KS; great-great-niece and nephew, Kiley Duvall and Kolby Nace, Carl Junction, MO; and her dog Zoey, her constant companion.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Mason-Woodard Chapel. Pastor Gary Shaw will officiate. Burial will be in Diamond Cemetery, Diamond, MO. The pallbearers will be Gary Doke, Darren Doke, Chase Wilscam, Mike Walters, Scott Souders, and Kolby Nace. Honorary pallbearer will be Alec Peacock.
The visitation will be 6-7 p.m. Wednesday at Mason-Woodard Chapel. Memorial contributions may be given to the Joplin Humane Society.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
