Roberta Ferguson, age 83, of Carthage, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin. Mrs. Ferguson, daughter of the late Lee and Deloris (Luther) Stites, was born on December 19, 1935 in Miami, Ok.
On February 14, 1971 she was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Ferguson, in Urbana, Il. Together they owned and operated Ferguson Dental Laboratory for several years before retiring in 2006. She and Bob moved to the Carthage area ten years ago from Oklahoma City to make their home. She held a real estate license and once owned a successful ceramics business. She enjoyed mowing in her lawn, reading and had a love for animals.
Survivors include her husband, Robert “Bob” Ferguson, of Carthage; two sons, Bryan Rittmiller, and his wife, Pam, of Fairview Heights, IL, and Bruce Rittmiller, and his wife, Martha, of Wichita, KS; one daughter, Tamara “Tami” Kelley, and her husband, Dana, of Spokane, WA; two step-sons, Richard Ferguson, and his wife, Jessica, of Atoka, TN, and Jeff Ferguson, of Jeff, IL; nine grandchildren, Jeff Jr, Dylan, Jeremiah, Devon, Ian, Sarah, David, Eli, and Cody; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial visitation will be held from 6:00pm till 7:00pm on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary in Joplin.
