Edward D. Wilkerson, Jr. age 74 of Carl Junction passed away on Friday, January 31, 2014 at Freeman West Hospital.
He was born on July 7, 1939 to Edward Wilkerson, Sr. and Dorothy Johnson Wilkerson. Ed was a salesman in the food and beverage industry for many years, and a United States Army Veteran. His favorite hobby was to fish with anyone he could find willing to go and this is where he created some of his happiest memories.
He married Alma Wilkerson on December 15, 1962 in Miami, Oklahoma and she preceded him in death on July 8, 2010. Ed was also preceded in death by his parents and 2 grandchildren. He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Ray and husband Mike of Carl Junction; son, Bruce Wilkerson and wife Jetta of Neosho; sister, Sydney Watts of Fort Smith, Arkansas; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Ed has been taken for cremation and the family will have private family memorial services at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City. Visit www.simpsonfh.com for online condolences.
