Peggy Sue (Miller) Neff, Neosho, passed away February 15, 2014 at Freeman Neosho Hospital in Neosho.
Peggy was born June 2, 1947 in Springfield, MO, the daughter of Sherman and Ruth (Kinser) Miller. She was a longtime Neosho resident and a former real estate agent in Neosho. Peggy was an avid golfer and loved spending her winters in Florida. She loved animals and was a board member of the Faithful Friends Animal Advocates and attended the Presbyterian Church in Neosho.
Peggy is survived by her husband, Larry of Neosho; her son, Scott King and wife, Charlotte, Mount Pleasant, SC; step sons, Larry Neff, Jr. and wife, Mary Ann, Joplin; Terry Neff and wife, Beth Ann, Neosho and Rick Simmonds, San Diego, CA; brother, Al Miller and partner Roger Malarkey, Springfield; five grandchildren, Rachael Bronson and husband, Zach, Joplin; Christian Neff and Courtney Neff, Neosho and William King and Cecilia King, South Carolina; great grandson, Nolan Bronson, Joplin; two nieces and nephews and two great nieces and nephews and a very dear and special friend, Leslie Marty.
Services will be Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at 1 pm at the Presbyterian Church in Neosho, Rev. Rich Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Banner Cemetery, Splitlog, MO., and serving as pallbearers will be Larry Dean Neff, Terry Neff, Christian Neff, Zack Bronson, Roger Malarkey and Rich Neff. Honorary pallbearers and Golfing friends are Rudy Farber and wife, Dorothy; Jeff Haas and wife, Kim; Dave Marty and wife, Leslie; John Sims and wife, Margaret; Alan Keeling and wife, Lavona; Steve Hogan and wife, Linda; Billy Ballentine and wife, Joyce; Charles Crawford and wife, Ruth and John Starrett and Quinton and Aleta Platner. The family will receive friends Monday evening at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho from 5:30 until 7 pm and the casket will be closed at all times. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Faithful Friends Animal Advocates, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66, Neosho, MO 64850.
